God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Faith (Counting On Him)

This song has puts some things into perceptive to me. I have been doing some devotions over the past few weeks and I came across a devotion that hit home to me. It is about a couple that struggled with infertility for 2 years, and just had to put their faith and strength in God to get them through the road of infertility. They did eventually have 4 children naturally. But they said that "We just had to wait on his time and trust he knows best, and that God is always faithful to those that trust in him."

Then I went to church this morning, and felt God leaning on my heart. The sermon was about Life outside the comfort zone. The sermon was about faith. How ironic is that, I feel that he is trying to get my attention, and he has it now.

Here are few verses that I have come across in my devotion last week:

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God:that if we as anything according to his will,he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14,15.

This one is from the sermon this morning that got my attention.

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see..So, you see it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:1,6.

The outline points are:
Let your crisis lead you to a place in faith.
I declare my life is in your hands and I trust you in my life.
Prepare to be stretched.
To build faith,God often asks the unnatural and the uncomfortable.
Put faith into action.
Faith stories are meant to be celebrated.

I pray that God will give me the strength each day to get through this roller coaster ride of infertility, and help me to have faith and hope that we will one day get our miracle baby. I pray that Carter and I relationship grows stronger with each other and with God.

I didn't think that it would be this hard to conceive a child, it shouldn't be. I think that this will make Carter and I stronger in the long run, considering the obstacles we have gone through and still have ahead of us.

Such a great song. An anthem or sorts, yes?

And I love that you took the quiz on over at my place and are a sunflower! We need tall, willowy, graceful flowers, just like you!
