God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Sorry for the delay in posting!

Sorry I have been away from the blogging world for a weeks or so. I have been dealing with migraines and morning sickness.

The migraines I have had a problem with for years and I have been taking meds to prevent them, well I had to be taken off of them since I am pregnant and they are not safe for bean. It still hasn't really hit me that I am pregnant, it has some that I am experiencing the morning sickness and it will be real and feel real when I get to hear the heart beat for the first time, in which that will be July the 8 th a week from today. Yeah...

I came home from work last Wednesday afternoon with a terrible migraine, and went straight to bed. I woke up Thursday not much better, and unable to keep anything down, so I called my Ob Dr and she told me to come in and be seen by the nurse practitioner, so I did and she sent me over to the hospital to get an IV in me, cause I was dehydrated. So they gave me some meds in my IV that was safe for baby. They put me back on one of my migraine meds (Inderal) to help regulate my headaches again and gave me some Zofran for my nausea. Today is the first day that I have actually felt better, and the headaches are less intense and the morning sickness is being somewhat controlled. I have been told that the meds that I was put on are safe for baby, I am trusting my Ob that she knows what she is talking about in the safety of little bean.

So that is what is going on in my world. I am so happy that I am pregnant and experiencing the morning sickness, which assures me that I am pregnant.
Please continue to pray for Carter and I as we inch closer and closer to the safe zone and pray that my migraine headaches stay away and get less and less intense. I will be 7 weeks on Thursday. Thanks for the prayers and encouragement you have all given to us through the IF journey. And now as we embark in a new and exciting journey to pregnancy we are so excited and thrilled.

Oh, migraines are horrendous! I'm so sorry you are experiencing them, especially having to deal with the stress of what medications you can take during pregnancy. I hope you feel better soon!

Migraines- be gone!

just to let you know that i took zofran throughout most of my first pregnancy (and have a perfectly healthy 2 year old) and have taken it much of this pregnancy! (due in 6 weeks) good luck with everything!
