God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Prayer

This is very hard for me to type and talk about right now, but we had an ultrasound yesterday and we have lost our babies I was 8 wks. We had twins that were conjoined and lost them do to a miscarriage. It was comfirmed by the ultrasound and by bloodwork. I know that this is in Gods hands and that he is in control of us and the situation, but it still doesn't make it any easier. I am trying to figure out why, and I know that is not a good idea to question, I feel that I have done something wrong for this to happen and I have been reassured by the nurses and my family that I did nothing wrong that this is Gods doing. I know that our babies are in heaven. Please keep us (Carter and I and our families) in your prayers as we are really struggling.

Oh, geez. I am so sorry, Jen. There are no words that can make you feel better right now, but I am praying for you both as I type this. And I pray that those demons of doubt leave you this instant!

Oh, Jen....I am so deeply saddened by your post. I'll be lifting you up in prayers for God to ease your suffering. I've had 2 m/c so I know first hand your heart ache. Although right now it seems like it will never get better, I promise you that time helps heal the pain.

I'm so sorry.

Hi. I just found your blog through a link at Liza's. I am praying for you tonight. Having endured 3 miscarriages myself, I know that the ache seems unbearable at points. Praying that God will carry you and comfort you.... that you will be surrounded my others who will bring you comfort as well. It's okay to question.... HE is big enough for it....

Dear Jen as I write this through my tears after reading you news I would like to asure you and Carter that I'm Praying for you. I do wish hat like the stories in the Bible that you would question our God and cry out to Him asking why and as you do that He will hold you and give you His Love (PS 145:18) may you and Carter draw closer to Jesus and each other.
Love Dave (Liza's Dad)

I came over from Liza's blog. I think like any loving parent, God didn't want this to happen to you. We live in a fallen world and sometimes things just happen for that reason, not because God wants them too. He loves you immensely and I'm sure you can find comfort through him at this time and someday maybe understanding. I wish you the best.

I'm so sorry. I'll be praying for you two. I miscarried twins almost 2 years ago and haven't been able to get pregnant since. I understand what you're going through. I'm so sorry. God has a plan even though we don't always understand. You'll be in my prayers.

WHEN GOD SEEMS ABSENT
by Charles R. Swindoll

Read Esther 6:12--14

If you're like me, you're often waiting for the other shoe to drop. In this instance, we're waiting for---and wanting---Haman to get what he deserves. Everything within us craves justice. Especially with a loser like Haman, who has strutted his stuff long enough.

Never once in all of Haman's peacock strutting and evil plotting had God ignored him or his plan to murder Mordecai and the Jews. God had not missed his statements, the pride of his heart, the violent and prejudicial motives behind his decisions. God was invisible, but He was not out of touch or passive. He had not forgotten His people or His promises to them---and to their enemies.

A knock came at the door. And before he could even get his thoughts together, Haman was swept out of the house and escorted to the palace for the banquet that would spell his doom. I can't help but wonder if on the way to the palace Haman glanced again at the gallows he had built for Mordecai, shook his head, and regretted what he had done.

A magnificent theological principle underscored again and again in the Scriptures is this: When God seems absent, He's present. Even when you think you have lost all, God uses it as an opportunity to awaken you to the realization that He is still in charge, as well as to bring you to your knees.

Do you feel that God has been absent or on hold in your life, distant in some way? I want to remind you of this: He may have seemed absent from you, but He has been present all along. Furthermore, He knows your heart. He knows the true condition of your soul. He knows the hidden impurities of your motives. He knows the deep depravity of your sin. But He's heard your cry, and He will not turn you away.

Hopping over from Elaine's blog...

I'm so sorry that you lost your precious twins. I will be keeping you in my prayers as you try to work through the questions that are swirling around in your head. Poor your heart out to God...He knows you pain, and He will help you through this. I lost 2 babies last year, and I promise you, it DOES get better. You'll never forget the losses, but the intense pain that sometimes feels as if it's taken your breath away will lessen with time.
