God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Traditions and A Sleigh Ride

At this time of the year for the past 3 years my mom and I have gotten together and made candy together, it is so much fun. Well today they came to my house and we made buckeyes, fudge, rice krispies treat surprise, and truffles. We had fun, I love these times with my mom and creating memories. My dad came up as well and he stayed in the living room. You see my dad and I have been planing to surprise my mom with a sleigh ride for a few weeks now. We made our candy and had supper, then we told her lets go take a look at the Festival of light at the park. She was up for that and I told her that we had to park across the street and walk through the lights. Well we got to the parking lot across from the park and then we told her that we were there to take a sleigh ride by horse through the park to check out the lights. She was so surprised and excited, she is like well your dad and I were just talking about how fun it would be to go on a sleigh ride. It was so much fun, alittle chill 30's, but worth it. I wish that there would have been snow, or it would have started snowing while on the ride, no luck but that's alright. The ride was $23 for 30hour, it was well worth it. Sorry the pics are so dark, forgot to change the setting. If you click on the picture you can get a better view of it.
