My name is Toni, and my husband and I saw the film Fireproof in a pre-screening. We enjoyed it very much and recommend that couples see it; it celebrates covenant marriage and unconditional love in a way I've never seen before in a movie.

As I was writing this comment, I was struck by your story on your blog of your experience with miscarraige. May I say I'm deeply saddened by your loss, and I pray God comforts you more and more as you live on after the sorrow.

I want to encourage you to care for your health not just physically but emotionally as well. These situations, particularly ones like yours, can trigger serious postpartum depression and other affective disorders that are not your fault, but can be debilitating and dangerous. Make a list of the symptoms of PPD (you can find tools at www.postpartumhealthalliance.org) and hold each other accountable to call your doctor if they occur with regularity. True, your babies were so very valuable, but you are valuable as well, my dear.

I also encourage you to nurture your marriage, perhaps with this film coming out. It may be a good idea to concentrate on loving each other more deeply. My husband and I got a copy of the Love Dare book that goes with the movie, as well as a couple's kit, which has a bible study couples can do together. I highly recommend them to you; I found them online at www.thelovedarebook.com and www.fireproofoutreach.com.

God's very best to you and your husband, my dear. Treasure each other as a gift from God. Best wishes and health to you both. Zeph 3:17.
